Thirty-five years.
Sixty-five countries.
One standard.

Talos Services Group is a global security, intelligence, and risk management firm. Our principals have led protective missions for U.S. embassies, trained foreign counter-terrorism units, recovered hostages from conflict zones, and built the infrastructure that carries signals intelligence across half the planet. The people we send in the door have done this before.

01 / Who We Are

A professional services firm for turbulent environments.

In a volatile world, the threats of terrorism, political instability, and organized criminal activity challenge the way businesses, governments, and non-governmental organizations operate abroad. The need to protect people, property, and interests in high-threat environments is not episodic. It is constant.

Talos Services Group (TSG) was built to meet that reality. We offer specialized protective and mission support services to governments, multi-national businesses, and non-governmental organizations operating in politically sensitive or geopolitically turbulent regions. Our personnel are drawn primarily from the U.S. and allied Special Operations community — they do not arrive at a problem looking for a template. They arrive at a problem with experience of having solved one like it before.

We are sensitive to politically charged conditions in host countries and deliver the highest level of protection commensurate with the environment — no more, no less.

TSG is a full-service enterprise risk management firm. Our strengths reside in the ability to assess and analyze a client's risk and vulnerabilities and then design adaptive, scalable protection and intelligence programs that hold up under real operational conditions. We operate tailored packages because clients are not interchangeable, and we sustain operational integrity throughout implementation — from initial assessment, through deployment, to sustained mission support.

Because every engagement is tailored, TSG accepts assignments from host-country governments and select commercial and institutional clients where we can deliver meaningful outcomes. That discipline — in who we work with, not just how — is central to how we protect the integrity of the mission.

David Ramirez

Managing Director

David Ramirez founded Talos Services Group after more than thirty-five years in private-sector investigative and protective services. He is the former CEO of Security Alliance, LLC — a U.S.-based firm that delivered extensive protective services to the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Defense. Under his leadership, Security Alliance was recognized by the Department of State as Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year in 2010 for its role securing U.S. embassies across Central and South America, ultimately scaling to more than 1,100 employees globally and safeguarding U.S. and NATO embassies and dignitaries from partner states.

As Agent-in-Charge for personal security details, Ramirez managed protective operations for high-profile principals in environments perceived as high-risk, including the coordination of quick-reaction teams and the continuity planning that made those details sustainable over months and years, not days.

He is widely regarded as a practitioner of open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodology applied to financial and legal investigations — work that has surfaced sophisticated fraud networks across mortgage, insurance, identity, and credit-card crime categories, and has been central to both litigation support and asset recovery.

His foundation is a U.S. Marine Corps tour as an intelligence analyst attached to a special operations team, synthesizing strategic reporting for national-level intelligence centers. He held a Top Secret/SCI security clearance throughout his service. He leads Talos today at the intersection of traditional tradecraft, OSINT, and practical security operations.

John Nettles

Director of Operations

John Nettles brings more than thirty-four years in the global security and risk management industry, including extended service in some of the most politically sensitive and operationally dangerous environments on the planet. He has operated in more than sixty-five countries across the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Asia, and South-West Asia — as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), in other U.S. Government roles, and in the private sector.

Nettles has developed, trained, and advised multiple host-nation counter-terrorism units — the kind of mission that does not end when a deployment ends — and continues to serve as an advisor to units within U.S. Special Operations Command and to foreign special-operations partners, covering the full arc from tactical problems to national-level strategic ones.

He leads Talos's kidnap-for-ransom practice, recovering personnel from regions across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central and South America. He is also a consulting advisor on counter-terrorism and security/intelligence matters to U.S. and partner-nation governments and to commercial clients whose operations require the same caliber of judgment.

J.F.

Intel Program Advisor

J.F. is a combat veteran holding a Top Secret clearance and carries more than twenty-eight years of telecommunication infrastructure experience — from deploying, integrating, and maintaining strategic systems through emulation, simulation, and interrogation workloads in support of intelligence operations. He has operated in more than twenty countries across both permissive and non-permissive environments, for both public and private sector clients.

He served six years on active duty in the U.S. Army deploying, integrating, and maintaining strategic and tactical communication systems, followed by fourteen years with Nortel Networks as an integration prime inside the Special Projects division of its Global Support Team, where he gained deep exposure to PSTN, cellular, data, VoIP, SS7, and fiber-optic network infrastructure.

He then served six years with Special Operations Technologies as Director of Field Operations, working alongside U.S. DoD, DoJ, and host-nation counterparts overseeing intercept programs across the CENTCOM and SOUTHCOM areas of operation. Through his company Croix International LLC, he has delivered Signals Intelligence and Electronic Warfare training, mentoring, and evaluation to special operations personnel in support of the SOF RAPTOR contract, and provides consulting services to security and technology firms.

At Talos, J.F. directs our in-country day-to-day intelligence operations — logistics, mission planning, coordination, deconfliction, and operational security — and is the liaison to U.S. Government, NATO, and host-nation counterparts on communications and intercept matters.

05 / Technology

Backed by Talos Guardian.

Every protective detail, every crisis deployment, and every intelligence engagement draws from a single, continuously updated operational picture.

The Talos Global Security Operations Center runs on Talos Guardian — our purpose-built platform for correlating the signals that matter inside the noise of a dynamic environment. Guardian's decision engine, Cortex, moves an event from ingestion to recommended action in approximately 217 milliseconds, with auditable reasoning on every alert. In third-party shadow-mode pilots, Guardian has demonstrated a 93% increase in detection, a 96% faster mean-time-to-detect, and a 71% reduction in false positives over baseline operations.

The detail on the ground and the analyst at the console see the same picture. That is the point. Explore the Technology →
